Here is a great report from Cenk Uygar on MSNBC in support of ending the insane war on drugs. It's great to see someone from the Left with this perspective. Could the Right follow suit anytime soon?

TSA: Life as a Screener is "Horrible"
Here is an article about how terrible it is to be a TSA groper, from the perspective of a TSA groper.
A single tear rolls down my cheek.
"The work life here is horrible," said McCoy, president of his local union representing officers. Turnover is like a "revolving door" and health benefits are "atrocious," he said. Morale is low and so is the pay, he added.
Officers typically start at $29,000, but that's only if they're working full-time.A single tear rolls down my cheek.
US Military Places Weapons on Murdered Iraqi Civilians
This is a very powerful video about how the US military carries "drop weapons" that they can place on Iraqi civilians after murdering them in order to sell the story that they were "insurgents". Even if the Iraqis did in fact have weapons, doesn't a man have the right to protect himself from an invading foreign army?

TSA "Security" is a Joke
Over the past couple weeks I have had to endure the "security" checkpoints in the St. Louis and Philadelphia airports due to work travel. In neither airport was I subjected to the X-ray scanners, but instead walked through the traditional metal detectors. This is puzzling because we were told by the spokesbureaucrats at the TSA that these porno machines were necessary in keeping us safe.
So, the TSA knowingly has in the past weeks let a vital and absolutely necessary screening procedure go unused and thus exposed the country to countless security threats, right? How is the country surviving? The TSA's security procedures are simply theater, and are used to condition the people to continue blindly obeying their perceived masters. Wake up, people!

US Military in 175 Countries
Toward the end of the 3rd quarter of the Rams / Broncos game on Sunday, the announcers (Ron Pitts and John Lynch) began their traditional thanking and lauding of the US military watching from all over the globe. Pitts, echoed by the graphic on the screen, specifically gushed about the US military members from 175 countries throughout the world, and parroted the propaganda of how they are "protecting our freedoms".
I have previously written about the US Empire's presence throughout globe here, so it really should come as no surprise when I see a statistic like the one on Sunday. But this is particularly striking when you consider the fact that there is only a total of 196 countries in the world.
Let this be a warning to you remaining 21 countries: the US Imperial Army is watching you.

Glenn Greenwald: "FBI successfully thrwarts its own Terrorist plot"
Here is a great piece by Glenn Greenwald on how the FBI is manufacturing and then "preventing" terrorist attacks, most recently with the supposed Somali "Christmas tree terrorist".
Greenwald has quickly become one of my favorite writers. He is like a surgeon in his ability to dissect and communicate the countless devastating atrocities committed by the US government in the name of "security".
An excerpt:
We hear the same exact thing over and over and over from accused Terrorists -- that they are attempting to carry about plots in retaliation for past and ongoing American violence against Muslim civilians and to deter such future acts. Here we find one of the great mysteries in American political culture: that the U.S. Government dispatches its military all over the world -- invading, occupying, and bombing multiple Muslim countries -- torturing them, imprisoning them without charges, shooting them up at checkpoints, sending remote-controlled drones to explode their homes, imposing sanctions that starve hundreds of thousands of children to death -- and Americans are then baffled when some Muslims -- an amazingly small percentage -- harbor anger and vengeance at them and want to return the violence. And here we also find the greatest myth in American political discourse: that engaging in all of that military aggression somehow constitutes Staying Safe and combating Terrorism -- rather than doing more than any single other cause to provoke, sustain and fuel Terrorism.

Feds Look to Imprison More People
The United States federal government, not satisfied with imprisoning people for putting natural substances into their bodies, have now targeted synthetic marijuana.
Don't you feel safer knowing that the government is watching out for you and the things that you put in your body?
