Massachusetts Charges $25 to Appeal Traffic Ticket

In an obvious revenue generating racket, drivers in Massachusetts must now pay a $25 bribe in order for the bureaucrats to allow them to plead not guilty to traffic tickets.

“If you're found not at fault, you should be cleared of all of it,” Ms. [Barbie] Holman said. “If that's not the case, then it seems police could be pulling people over for all sorts of things.” (My emphasis added)

And the gold star goes to Ms. Holman.

UPDATE: Reason.com in support of the new legislation.
